Home Is Never Without Them is a heartfelt tribute to the animals who fill our lives with unconditional love, quiet wisdom, and unspoken connection. Inspired by a lifetime shared with furry companions, this painting honours not just one pet, but all the animals — past and present — who become family.
The central cat figure represents every beloved creature who’s left pawprints on our hearts. Their presence is woven into the fabric of daily life: they know when you’re on your way home, greet you like the sun itself, and hold space beside you through everything.
Originally painted in gouache in my Sussex studio — with five Menorcan cats supervising, naturally — this piece now lives in a private collection. But its spirit is shared through signed giclée prints and greeting cards, so others can welcome its warmth into their homes.
