Description
Mooncat has been living inside me for a long time. Painting it felt like finally letting something quietly magical out into the world. I’ve helped care for so many cats over the years and I’m always struck by how different each one is — their personalities, moods, quirks. Ginge, the cat in this painting, has the most wonderfully curious stance, and I’ve captured it here just as I see him when something’s caught his attention.
There are other parts of this painting I treasure too — like the greenhouse in the background. It belonged to my grandmother, but I always thought it looked like a rocket when I was little. That mixture of memory, imagination, and everyday life is what makes this piece so special to me.
I’ve poured a lot of love into Mooncat, and I hope it brings a little wonder into your space too.
